Today is a day of praise. The Wellspring Living staff celebrated our education programs with gala apples and stories of triumph at the Recreate Her Future Gala this past Friday evening. The twinkling lights hung from the ceiling and the soft tunes of jazz from the live band set the mood for a classy event.

The photo booth provided entertainment and a sense of ease to the formality of the night, and the walk-through experience gave onlookers an inside perspective of a girl’s life trapped in slavery.

After cocktails and dinner, our President Mary Frances Bowley welcomed everyone for the evening and gave the mission of Wellspring Living. Teachers spoke candidly about working with the girls and the joy it is to see their lives shaped by education.

We had a video of a graduate of our program share her story and how Jesus redeemed her life through Wellspring Living.

Amena Brown shared her spoken word about teaching the girls poetry and creative writing at the home.

Overall the night was a tremendous success. We are still calculating the total money raised, but as soon as we do I will post it!
